Autumn 2024 - Treorchy and Beyond - Then and Now: Where did it all begin?

Croeso I ddosbarth Gwyrddlas. This term our inquiry is 'Treorchy and Beyond' with a focus on entertainment and how things have changed over the years. We are encouraging our children to become ethically informed citizens who are knowledgeable about their culture, community, society and the world, now and in the past.

Our outcome will be a persuasive document that encourages people to visit Zip World. In addition, we will be making nominations for who our children feel will deserve a 'blue plaque' in the future.

Daily Routines and Reminders

P.E Day - Tuesday

Please wear a white polo shirt with school jumper or cardigan, black / grey shorts, joggers or leggings and suitable shoes or trainers.

Swimming Day - Thursday

Children will need to bring bathers / swimming costume, a towel and goggles if they have them. Children will also need a packed lunch as we have an early lunch.

Homework and Reading Books

Children are given their homework (Big Maths and Spellings) and their reading books and reading logs every Friday and these are to be returned by the following Wednesday. Spelling tests take place every Friday.
