Croeso i Ddosbarth Fioled . My name is Edd Sprague. I am the Year 6 class teacher and Senior Teacher in our school. Mrs Jordan/Mrs McKay, my year 6 colleagues  and I hope you enjoy looking at our learning experiences and inquiries. We share Mrs Leanne Lawry and Mrs Amanda Davies as additional support adults.

This term, our inquiry is called 'When medicine fails...?' The history of medicine is our focus from as early as neolithic times to modern medicine practice. We're also looking at when medicine doesn't work, what do we do next? We will introduce the children to alternative therapies like cold water therapy, chiropracting, aromatherapy etc...

We use circle time on a Monday morning to check in around any news, experiences or issues children have had over the weekend.

PE - Thursdays: Sporting Marvels (Wear appropriate kit - white polo top, black/grey shorts/leggings

Swimming - Autumn Term (Sept - Dec 24)

Homework - Homework will be given to pupils on a Friday. The work will be due in on a Wednesday.

Read at home as much as possible and parents to sign and note which pages were read.

Our class novel is 'Wonder' by R. J. Palacio. We are exploring the amazing opportunities in the book to explore identity, difference, bullying and overcoming odds. We have also watched the movie and have started comparing and contrasting characters and scenes with the book.
