Our Vision
Treorchy Primary School recognises its place in the heart of the community. We aspire to develop a love for learning and to lead the children through their learning journey, striving to be the best they can be.
We ensure all of our children feel valued, safe and secure at school, show confidence and enthusiasm as learners and recognise and celebrate their own individual talents and achievements.
We recognise that every child is unique and aim to develop nurturing and supportive relationships where dedicated staff are viewed as positive role models who inspire and motivate through a range of teaching strategies and emerging technologies.
Our environments are sustainable, neutral and calm spaces with authentic and stimulating resources which enhance learning, and which are emotionally and physically safe, allowing pupils to express themselves in a trusted setting.
We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum with authentic, memorable and inspiring opportunities for enriching and purposeful learning to take place within and beyond the classroom, utilising the skills and expertise that exist within our local and wider community.
Our priorities are to develop the whole child, growing their knowledge and skills and applying these to real-world situations whilst aiming for them to be globally competitive citizens. Our staff are ambitious and strive to develop themselves personally and professionally.
