At Treorchy Primary School we are a nurturing, caring school where children and families are able to thrive. We aspire to develop a love for learning and to lead the children through their learning journey, striving to be the best they can be. Our priorities are to develop the whole child, growing their knowledge and skills and applying these to real-world situations whilst aiming for them to be globally competitive citizens.

We are an inclusive school that meets the needs of all its learners. We will provide a curriculum that is appropriate for all. Additional learning provision will be planned and developed through a person centred approach. This will ensure that we identify needs early, put in place effective support and monitoring, and adapt interventions to ensure that we deliver desired outcomes and learners are supported to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Our children are wonderful ambassadors for our school, their voice helps us with our decision making and they are keen to steer us here at Treorchy Primary. I'm sure you will spot some of our pupils out in your community helping out in the charity shops, carrying out litter picks and being great citizens.

Treorchy Primary School recognises its place in the heart of the community. Our community is an integral part of our school and we value the contribution that the community brings to us. We work closely with the 'Love Treorchy' group of community members on projects such as plastic recycling and events around the town. We also understand the importance of the contribution we make to enhance our community and we foster a love of where we live. Ni yw Treorci.

We have a dedicated, passionate team of professionals working here at Treorchy Primary school who will work with families to foster positive relationships and support your children to ensure they have the very best education and support throughout their learning journey here. We have an open door policy and each day you will see myself, senior leaders and staff members at the gates to welcome you all in to school. We strongly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard you as an active partner in your child's education and value your interest and support.
